A: Why are my Classics not sharing the work when networked with Follow-Me?
When Classics are connected together using Follow-Me cables you get the following features:
1) MODE coordination. All will follow for BULK, EQUALIZATION & FLOAT.
NOTE: ABSORB is NOT a Follow-me MODE, EACH Classic MUST reach the Absorb voltage setting on its own. RESTING is NOT a Follow-me MODE, each Classic goes RESTING on its own.
2) BTS aka Battery Temperature Sensor sharing. Pick a Classic to install the BTS in, it can now be called "BTS MASTER".
NOTE: There is no other designation of "Master" or "Slave" with the F-Me network, All Classics can switch modes and send that data around the network.
3) Installation suggestions:
A) Pick one Classic to be BTS MASTER. Set in TWEAKS to BTS NET = MASTER and all others to BTS FOLLOW. Install a BTS in this Classic ONLY.
B) If using a Whizbang JR install in this Classic. NOTE: SOC% and other WBjr info is NOT shared with other Classics.
C) SET BTS MASTER Classic Absorb time to what you need, set all others to 10 minutes longer.
D) If using REBULK set it in the BTS MASTER Classic ONLY.
The Blue LED at the top of the Classic circuit board will flash to indicate Follow-Me network operation.
1 second flash = no data, bad cable or F-Me not turned on in TWEAKS. 1/10th second blink = data okay.
NOTE: You can test a F-Me cable by connecting in a Classic looping the middle jack to the bottom jack. If the cable is good and the Classic is working in F-Me the BLUE LED will go from a 1 second blink to 1/10th second.
NOTE: It is common for an occasional 1-sec blink to be observed during normal operation.
4) Follow-Me is not going to make the Classics share the current they produce. Production watts & amps are going to be specific to each Classic's capabilities according to the installed input source.
