Old T-Bird parts are available in catalogs from at least five sources. It would have saved
many hours of research to just call up Casco and order one or two of every item in their catalog.
Basically what is what we have been doing by reconstructing parts.
First photo: Dave has been welding on the body for 6
months straight now and still has more to do before smoothing things out with a thin coat of Bondo.
Second photo: The frame, couch car and running T-Bird
outside our classy canopy structure where most of the work is being done. Two more canopies are
being ordered in order to organize parts and assemblies. With all the new products in development,
there isn’t much space to build electronics such as the new battery system. I suspect we may be
assembling the first ones in the canopies? Seems fitting I guess, but certainly not ideal.
Third photo: Pretty typical of what we had to work with.
Fourth photo: Todd cutting pieces to strengthen the frame.
Fifth photo: This 312 E-Code engine sat outside in the salt air environment
for 51 years. We are using parts this car.
